Santi has been an avid athlete all his life. He played tennis at the collegiate level, at Spring Hill College. He feels that having a healthy diet and active lifestyle is crucial to achieving balance and happiness. Santi is a Private Banker at Avenue Bank in Nashville, but also shares a passion for fitness with his wife, Anna. After experiencing the workout and hearing success stories, he too fell in love with the method. Santi is warm, energetic and motivating, allowing for a fun, yet challenging teaching style. He brings a load of energy to each and every workout and he is excited to bring this new fitness concept to the people of Nashville!
Fitness has always been a central component of Anna’s life. She’s been a life-long athlete, as a collegiate soccer player at Spring Hill College , a recreational tennis player and a dedicated runner. With fitness always being a strong passion, she decided to make a career change from the world of development and event planning into the world of fitness. She began to learn about the Lagree Fitness method and just couldn’t get enough. After learning about the effectiveness of the unique workout, she had to try it out for herself. After one class, she was blown away by the intensity of the workout and the day after, the amount of soreness. She found herself making excuses to go to Atlanta (the nearest city with a Lagree Fitness studio) and inevitably squeezing in a workout or two. Needless to say, she was hooked. It was clear that this method was the next big evolution in the fitness world and she is thrilled to be bringing this unique workout to Nashville, TN!
Anna’s passion and deep understanding of this method allows her to teach in way that’s methodical, with an emphasis on proper form, while also providing her clients with energy, motivation and encouragement during each and every exercise.

Lisa has always led an active and healthy lifestyle playing competitive golf, running, hiking, skiing and tennis. She constantly seeks to find new challenges that keep her physically fit while also increasing her strength and stamina. The connection between mind and body has long been something she loved from her dedication to Pilates, as well as the role it played in helping her to rehab chronic lower back pain that she suffered many years ago. Pilates, though, played a secondary role to her intense cardio and weight lifting regiment. Then, she found the Sebastien Lagree Method and was astonished by the intensity she so craved was all right there! The Lagree Fitness Method offered everything she loved in one workout! So inspired by the experience, and now having earned the certification, she can't wait to share her love for fitness and this life altering workout with others.
Melissa has always had an interest in fitness. She played sports in high school and stayed active through college. But it was after college that she decided fitness was a lifestyle choice and began working out consistently, on a daily basis. It was then that she realized all the benefits of staying active; staying in shape of course but also the catharsis of doing something for yourself and taking care of yourself! Whether working full time or even during pregnancy, fitness has always been a priority to Melissa.
When she discovered Studio Novo Nashville and the Lagree Fitness method, she was hooked. It was the workout she’d been looking for as it is low-impact while also incorporating the cardio components that she craved. Now as a wife and mother to an active 5 year old Trey (who some might consider a workout in itself), she is excited to share this incredibly challenging but also incredibly rewarding workout to others!
Anne Marie Peterson
Anne Marie spent seven years working in the television industry, in New York City, LA and Nashville, going through her own journey with losing weight and learning to live a healthy lifestyle. Upon officially relocating to Nashville in November 2010, she felt called to pursue a career in health & fitness to help others find health and happiness.
Anne Marie is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor, Tennessee Titans Cheerleader & Team Captain, Barry's Bootcamp Nashville Instructor, and a key leader at lululemon athletica. Additionally, she has her Business Degree from Belmont University specializing in Entertainment Business.
She discovered Studio Novo & the Lagree Fitness Method while training for auditions for her fourth year as a Tennessee Titans Cheerleader. Immediately hooked, Anne Marie has adapted this method as a regular part of her own fitness regimen, and absolutely loves teaching at Studio Novo.

Joy loves a challenge. Actively pursuing new experiences is one of the greatest thrills in her life. She has a passion for fitness, motivating others, and constantly evolving into a more fit and healthier individual. Joy plays competitive tennis and she has a passion for outdoor sports. She is a certified SCUBA diver, with a love of deep, drift dives. During the winter, nothing makes her happier than being on a pair of skis in deep powder. An avid exerciser from a very young age, Joy earned a minor in Health in college. Since then, she has tried all forms of fitness from Crossfit to barre classes, finally meeting her match at Studio Novo. The Lagree Method challenged her body in ways that she did not know were possible, and the results came quick. She is a true believer in the method and its benefits and it shows in her teaching. Growing up playing sports, Katie has always been passionate about staying in shape. From playing three sports in high school to being active in intramural sports in college, Katie has always been competitive and interested in new exercise regimens. Although the past few years she has enjoyed running and group exercise classes, nothing made as big of an impact on her fitness level as the Lagree Fitness Method. After visiting Studio Novo one time, she was hooked. Her favorite thing about the Lagree Fitness Method is how strong it has made her core and abdominals; something that was very hard to improve with other fitness techniques.
After taking classes for about a year, Katie decided she would enjoy teaching classes of her own. She tries to make every class different, and motivate clients to push themselves to their furthest point. Familiar with what it feels like to be student in the class, she enjoys being able to guide clients during class and give them options as far as modifications and variations, depending on their fitness level and knowledge of the method. She also enjoys making fun, motivating playlists for each class...if you have a request, please let her know!
Throughout his life, Matthew has amassed a true conglomerate of experiences within the athletic realm. From soccer to baseball, and now a developed fitness enthusiast, he understands the importance of living a healthy, meaningful lifestyle.
Being involved in music, Matthew emerged himself in management, plays the occasional gigs as a musician and even is an accomplished publicist (representing A-level acts for Sony Music from national television appearances to multiple GRAMMY red carpets). Now, as he has been taking on roles of marketing within the Nashville fitness community, he knows how crucial it is to cultivate an active, yet balanced lifestyle.
His passion for the Lagree Method stemmed from one single visit. After getting some classes under his belt, he believed in the program and isolated movements so much, he pursued his certification to become an instructor and set out on the process to motivate and help people realize that, no matter where they are at, change can happen. He is excited to continue introducing the workout to Nashville and brings his energized and lively take on each routine, making it a fun, unique experience.
From the early ages of Megan’s existence, the value of a healthy lifestyle has been instilled on multi-dimensional levels. Growing up in different geographical parts of the world, fitness has been ingrained in her as she played sports and developed advanced skills as a dancer. Through each culture adjustment and years of continual refinement within the scope of fitness, she has set out to live a full, healthy lifestyle each day.
Megan is not only a trained interior designer and visual merchandiser, but helps lead one of the most esteemed fitness apparel companies in Nashville. One of her best traits include steady leadership for others while maintaining a fitness/life balance.

Brianna grew up cheering competitively and always enjoyed working out. Over the past few years her love for all things health and fitness evolved in to a true passion. As a nurse and spine specialist, Brianna knows the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Even while traveling 3-5 days a week for her career, she always makes her workouts and nutrition a priority.
Brianna loves all types of fitness, from boot camps and weight lifting to barre and hot yoga, she has tried it all. After hearing about The LaGree Method at her local Lululemon store, she decided to try it out and was immediately hooked. The method gave her the high intensity workout that she craved, while elongating the muscles, which is such a great supplement to lifting weights. She’s loves that the workout cannot be mimicked in the gym, and that the shake it gives can only be felt on the Megaformer. She loves leaving a class feeling like she accomplished something. She always gives her workouts 100% and motivates her clients to do the same.
Jennifer has a lifelong love of sports, fitness and wellness. As a Division 1 collegiate volleyball player, she saw how important being fit and participating in strength training and cross-training is for athletic endurance and achievement. After college, Jennifer continued with her love of sports by becoming a high school volleyball and tennis coach, taking one of her girls' tennis teams to win the South Carolina State Championship. Not long after, she decided to become a certified personal trainer, which she has been doing for over 15 years. While running numerous 1/2 marathons and marathons, the wear and tear started to become an issue, so that is when Jennifer found a love for yoga and Pilates. She has been teaching both for more than 10 years. As a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, tennis pro, and wellness consultant she gets to wear many hats in the fitness world. She is also a rep for Beautycounter, a company that sells safe and healthy personal care products and cosmetics. She enjoys all this while being a mom to two children, a daughter and a son.
Jennifer found Studio Novo and the Lagree Method while searching for a workout that was low impact but intense at the same time. She was hooked after the first workout! The Lagree method covers the five basic foundations of fitness, and Jennifer loves how those can all be addressed in one workout. She has even been able to rehab knee injuries and a broken foot while doing the Lagree method due to the non-impact nature of the class. She hopes to share her love of fitness and the Lagree Method in every class.
Having been active since early childhood, including years spent playing soccer and participating in competitive horseback riding, Jess has always had a passion for a life on the move. However, this came to a crawling pace in her mid-20s, as her health took a dive upon experiencing some chronic issues. Long story short, it took over two years, massive amounts of frustration, countless doctor visits, endless research and self-advocacy for Jess to be able to find answers. "This was when everything changed for me. I poured over books, blogs, clinical studies and videos about everything health and fitness in a determined effort to revolutionize mine. I changed my mindset on nutrition and my approach to food, putting that and fitness back at the center of my daily life. I found purpose not only in the process of fine-tuning my well-being through fitness, nutrition and whole living, but also in my overwhelming desire to help others do the same."
Jess found the Lagree Fitness method and Studio Novo in 2013, and she was hooked after just one visit: "The workout was so unlike anything I've done before, and my body was challenged in ways it never had been—I was immediately addicted!" Jess adds that she loves that the method is both intense and therapeutic and leaves you feeling accomplished and amazing. In addition to her Lagree Fitness certification, Jess is currently a Certified Nutritional Consultant candidate and is a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM). "I’m dedicated to being a passionate ambassador of balanced living and a healthy, happy, fit lifestyle. "My goal as a coach at Studio Novo is to motivate, inspire and encourage you to find your limits and push past them!" she says.
Kathleen’s background in dance performance has always coincided with her love for fitness and a healthy lifestyle. After going to college in NYC at Marymount Manhattan College and dancing professionally as a Radio City Rockette, Kathleen learned the importance of cross training and was always interested in learning about the latest and most effective workout routines. Things changed for Kathleen after taking Lagree fitness, and with relocating to Nashville, she had to share her passion for the method with others. Aside from teaching at Studio Novo, Kathleen is a dance teacher and also has a full time position in medical sales.
Mandi has always been passionate about fitness!! Her love for fitness began when she discovered TurboKick (a high impact cardio kickboxing class) back in college. She knew she needed to do more so she became a certified instructor and has been teaching ever since. It was from here she found her passion for teaching and motivating others to a healthy lifestyle.
As Mandi continued to explore other fitness programs/classes, she found Studio Novo and immediately fell in love with the method and how it made her so much stronger. The results and the intensity are what kept Mandi hooked!

Rachel (Waymire) DeVries
Rachel is Nashville transplant (hailing from Chicago, LA and St. Louis) and in a very short time has come to love the local fitness community. Having grown up in dancing and cheering, Rachel has always been interested in fitness. However, it wasn't until a few years ago that her passion became her profession. After 10 years in the corporate world, Rachel took a leap of faith to pursue fitness full time. As the founder of WAYfit Nashville, Rachel specializes in personal training and group fitness. Given her intense desire to lead a healthy lifestyle, she is always looking for different ways to cross train. Based on a recommendation from a friend, she took her first Novo class in the Fall of 2014 and was not disappointed. After just a few classes, she saw physical changes in her body and was immediately hooked. Now, Rachel is a coach who loves to inspire her clients to push themselves past the "I can't" mental roadblock that ensues the moment a workout gets tough. This Nashville native has always had a strong passion for living an active lifestyle stemming from her days as a competitive cheerleader. She didn’t discover the amazing results that group fitness could have until she discovered the Lagree Method while getting in shape for her wedding. After her first class she was hooked. She loves how much stronger she has become through the method! A cheerleader at heart, her high energy, upbeat classes will guarantee you an intense workout!
In addition to the Lagree Fitness Methodology, Sara is a middle school technology teacher. She enjoys all things Nashville, from the restaurants to the live music! She also enjoys traveling with her husband, and spending time with friends and family.
Amanda is a Nashville native and has been working in the fitness industry since 2007. Her interest in fitness and nutrition started when she was a ballet dancer - looking for ways to develop a healthier relationship with food, prevent injury and cross-train. Once she left the ballet world, this interest continued to grow and evolve into a passion for working as a personal trainer, yoga teacher, pilates instructor, and now coach for Strudio Novo and the Lagree Method. Amanda absolutely loves waking up every day and being able to in some way help people find their own strength and confidence to live better lives. Aside from being trained in the Lagree Method, she is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, and has a Precision Nutrition Level I Certification. She is fully trained in pilates mat and reformer through Balanced Body, and also has her 200 hour RYT certification through Yoga Alliance. Outside of the fitness realm, Amanda has a 600 hour Massage Therapy certification, with plans to begin practicing soon, and a BSN from Belmont University, which she continues to use working random night-shifts as an orthopedic nurse. When she's not working her 800 jobs, you'll find her doing crossfit, yoga, training for triathlons, searching for delicious coffee and sushi places around town ... and most importantly taking class at NOVO!!!
Amanda is so grateful to be part of the Novo team. She finds this method truly unique in the way it can benefit whatever other activities you're involved in, making you stronger and better at all of these things. Its not just a bunch of silly exercises you're randomly doing with no clear goal - it is science based, time-efficient, and such a huge challenge no matter what fitness level you are at when you walk in the door. From age fifteen Steven knew what he wanted to do; change the lives of anyone struggling emotionally and physically from their body image. Having come from a heavy start, Steven has related to hundreds of clients over the years in various formats of training; in home training, classic weight training, and finally his new passion for Lagree Fitness at Studio Novo.
Steven fell in love with the Lagree Fitness Method after taking a handful of classes at Studio Novo and using the method which targeted the slow twitch muscles. Right from the start, the low-impact, high intensity, controlled style of Lagree Fitness meshed so well with his training style and brought Steven back to the grit of why he started his own fitness journey. To be healthy, to be in a shape that allowed him to do more in this world; Lagree Fitness fits that mold with it's own method shaping the body and empowering the mind with its taxing tension training.
Danielle found her passion for fitness through sports, which she played from an early age through college. After an extremely successful track/cross country career in which she also earned a degree in Exercise Science, she knew being involved in fitness was what she wanted to do.
She found a way to merge her competitive spirit and love of fitness by becoming a bikini competitor. Then a friend introduced her to Studio Novo, and she was immediately hooked. After her first class, she knew teaching the Lagree method was something she would love.
Danielle truly enjoys being able to help clients learn the Lagree Fitness Method. She has seen firsthand the changes people can attain in their bodies and lives by coming to Studio Novo. She loves to challenge her clients according to their abilities, whether they are an advanced student or are in class for the first time. When Danielle teaches, you will always leave knowing you got a great workout!
Stephanie has over 20 years of coaching, training and teaching experience in the fitness & running community. She studied ballet and modern dance, and danced and acted in professional theater. Stephanie was with The Delta Fitness for 14 years as a strength coach, and also designed and facilitated “Girl Power” summer camps, promoting young women’s health and body image.
In addition to coaching at Studio Novo, Stephanie is a strength coach at STEPS Fitness, where she trains several long-time, loyal clients. She preaches that “Fitness is the fountain of youth, and consistency is the key!”
Stephanie came across Lagree Fitness at Studio Novo and fell in love with the low-impact, high-intensity method. She immediately recognized that the Lagree Fitness Method, practiced on Studio Novo’s Megaformers, puts minimal impact on the joints while being extremely intense and effective on the muscles—ideal training for maintaining an active lifestyle and a strong body.
